In reply to Mads. This is going to sound so silly but I meant to say *cook time haha! Also would you adjust any of the measurements or double the recipe? I think I will plan to make a 2 layer 6 inch cake for my husband’s birthday. And we didn’t have access to vanilla beans so I’ll have to use vanilla bean paste. Maybe a teaspoon of that? I love this question and please tell me how the cake turns out. We devour this recipe when we make it.

I would suggest waiting until the cake is completely cooled before icing it. If you are in the northern hemisphere where the summer heat is still blazing, it will probably take a few hours.

I hope you enjoy and now I want a cupcake.
