Homemade Chorizo

This Homemade Chorizo is incredibly flavorful and so easy to make. Use it to add extra flavor to soups, nachos, tacos, eggs, breakfast skillets, rice dishes, etc. This list goes on and on.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground pork
  • 1/4 cup smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp caynenne pepper
  • 3 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Mexican oregano *or Mediterranean Oregano is fine.
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 cloves garlic *crushed
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar *with mother

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Using clean hands, mix ingredients until well combined.
  • Cook immediately (Cooking Chorizo section above) or divide into 2 serperate air tight containers (or freezer bags) and refrigerate and/or freeze for later use.

*Please use as many organic ingredients as possible.
